In My Room

Ok, this is it, the debut of my spanking new weblog! After spending two days slogging through the configuration of MT, and learning the intricacies of CSS, I finally have something I’m happy with (for now).

I’m kinda new to stylesheets, so it took a bit of effort to get this design. I had to admit to myself that I suck at design, so I settled for a design that’s similar to my webpage. Being that I suck at design, I keep it as simple as possible: Black background, white text, red, blue and green links, and my beloved Comic Sans MS font (Hope it doesn’t annoy anybody).

Maybe I’ll eventually add some graphics. There’s a problem with my MT install; when I try to save changes to any of the index templates, I get an infernal server error message. (And yes, everything was uploaded in ASCII and the permissions are set right.) To get around it, I have to go into the mySQL database and change the template from there. So I’m trying not to do that too much.

Now I just gotta become familiar with all of the technologies associated with blogging (RSS? Track-back?). Thankfully, I’m not a technical moron, so I should pick it up eventually (though I have felt like a technical tard for the last two days).

Oh, and I really should have been studying for my math test. And going to bed.
